Class Descriptions
INS 21 - Property and Liability Insurance Principles
Prepare for INS certification exam with this course, a complete introduction to insurance: principles, practices, policies, and coverages.
Prerequisites: None. This course builds on basic insurance knowledge to slightly more advanced knowledge in the area of insurance financial measurements.

INS 22 - Personal Insurance
A review of the exposures that individuals and families face, affecting asset preservation and accumulation. Includes a look at homeowners, auto, life, and health and disability coverage from a personal perspective.
Prerequisites: INS 21 completion recommended; some insurance industry experience and basic understanding of the law of large numbers.

INS 23 - Commercial Insurance
Improve effectiveness by learning the fundamentals of commercial insurance and how to apply them. Also, increase ability to assemble a book of business through knowledge of commercial coverage forms and endorsements.
Prerequisites: INS 21 completion; at least six months of insurance industry experience.
